Marko Macura

Un nuevo diseñador afincado en Holanda es objeto de nuestra mirada. Este joven no nos llama la atención por su espíritu provocador -como otros creadores neerlandeses-, sino por las líneas amables de sus trabajos y su uso de materiales innovadores

Marko Macura was born in Belgrade, serbia in 1971.   He lived in new york in the '80s, where he began his under graduate studies at the rhode island school of design.   His education continued at the Art Center college of Design (europe) in Switzerland.   Upon completion with honors, Marko moved in 1994 to The Netherlands, where he began his professional activities at Philips Design, eindhoven.   He obtained various awards such as the IF award, Goed Industrial Ontwerp award, and the Australian Design Award.   Since 1998 he focused on visionary and strategic projects at Philips Design. in 2007 macura was awarded the frist prize by alcantara, under the chairmanship of giulio cappellini,  for the design 'angolo' designed in collaboration with ingeborg van uden.
